How about the selling of indulgences to be used against stupid things I may say, or what may appear to be overbearing commentary, because I am too lazy to lay the necessary groundwork for people to receive my message in the spirit it is meant?

And as a parrallel concept, make people pay a financial pennance for derailing threads or saying stupid things without laying the groundwork in their own minds? Let alone for the rest of the readers.

Charlesh, I think there is a word for Fisheater in Latin. Are you aware of it ? I can't remeber ir. It might make it even cooler.

I'd suggest bumper stickers.  Works great for our local Catholic radio station.  That will really drive traffic to the site and ultimately help with the gift store.

Thank you, Jayne. After almost 50 years, my grammar has deteriorated!  LOL

Don't worry gang, I fishing for a word someone used here a time ago which I had never seen before. As Jovan can testify things can get foggy after a certain age. The thing I keep worrying about is finding my telephone book next to the microwave in the am.

hehehe

OK! I got some of Charlesh's Tee Shirts up in the Cafe Press shop, and am working on a little booklet through Lulu Press:  "The FishEaters Wham Bam Thank You, Ma'am Conversion Book" -- which is an "all meat, no carbs," quickie, nothing-in-the-way means to defend against Protestant misunderstandings of the Church's teachings. The "Challenge to all Protestants" is included. This isn't the sort of "book" to read, but to refer to -- to have with you at the table when your Protestant friend sits across from you and starts in.  It's just a little booklet -- but it's powerful, and if you have a copy of it and a King James Version of the Bible, you can get Protestants to, if not convert, at least shut up about some of their most common accusations and misunderstandings.  I'm trying to get the PDF for it all ready, and when it's done, I'll post a link to it here.

The genitive is used for possession; not as an object. What you wrote would mean "eaters belonging to fish."

This is that, by putting the tea in first and stirring as one pours, one can exactly regulate the amount of milk, whereas one is liable to put in too much milk if one does it the other way round."

A verb takes an object.  A noun, like comestores, can not take an object.  It can, however, take an objective genitive. An example is amor libertatis "love of liberty"

Okay, but it would still mean eaters belonging to fish. You can't say it's a noun and then still have it refer to eating fish. You're trying to have your fish and eat it too.

Let's skip the Latin shall we?  It sounds weird and the site is called fisheaters.com, not comestorespiscium.com....or whatever declining, conjugated word it's supposed to be.
