It is not hypocrisy to recognize that one has made mistakes, to try to do better and to speak out against those mistakes. 

I recommend that you be cautious when writing about your spouse online.  It is very easy to fall into criticizing one's spouse to others. You sound like you have a good spiritual director and I encourage you to discuss this with him.
