Just a reminder, folks...

Because we already have ten people who have committed (or almost committed) to entering the contest doesn't mean we're not looking for more.  Step on up and give it a try.  As they say, there's no better way to gain humility than through humiliation!

Jester, can you please post the updated list of competitors?

"Nothing is more miserable than those people who never failed to attack their own salvation. When there was need to observe the Law, they trampled it under foot. Now that the Law has ceased to bind, they obstinately strive to observe it. What could be more pitiable that those who provoke God not only by transgressing the Law but also by keeping it? But at any rate the Jews say that they, too, adore God. God forbid that I say that. No Jew adores God! Who say so? The Son of God say so. For he said: "If you were to know my Father, you would also know me. But you neither know me nor do you know my Father". Could I produce a witness more trustworthy than the Son of God?"  St. John Chrysostom Sunday Homily

I wouldn't mind if I had a recording device of any sort to do it with, but unfortunately I don't and I'm not very tech savvy. Smile I'll enjoy hearing what the others have to offer though.

If I can get all my song choices in place it's likely. Not a fan of country though. Would Bright Eyes count as bluegrass? (His later stuff.)

That's one for the judges to decide. If you don't like country, just skip it.  Smile

I hope Jester solidifies the rules. I preferred more of an American Idol decades or theme format, but genre is okay too. One idea I had was for everyone to sing birth year songs.

This is always the worst week on American Idol.
