Trad before the term "neo-trad" was invented

« on: March 12, 2012, 06:23:PM »

So I was asked to post the link to this article the other day.  My diocese is having another bi-annual (we really need some traditional priests around here!) TLM - the only TLM said south of Joliet (in this diocese).   The more people who attend, the better.  The pastor of the church is fully supportive of the TLM and I'm hoping that one day he will offer the TLM himself.  Please keep him in your prayers.   Here's the post:

Another Institute of Christ the King S.P. TLM for the Joliet Diocese

I wish I could say that it will be a regularly scheduled one, but, no, it’s a one-time thing.  Please pray for us, spread the word  wide and far.  Join us if you can.   Let us know if anyone coming would like to participate.  Singers, servers, food preparation, clean-up.  We need you all.

“Thank you” to Fr. Pennock, and of course, to the Institute!

Good news I was at the last one, but I think it was in a different town though.

Good news I was at the last one, but I think it was in a different town though.

Last year it was in Gilman.   For various reasons it was moved to Piper City this year.

There is less than a week until this happens.  If you're close to the area, please make an effort to come.  The more people, the better!  We need to convince the pastor to learn the TLM himself.

May 5th has come and gone.   There wasn't a massive crowd, but then again, I wasn't expecting a lot of people considering the church was way out in the country and probably most of the town had just attended a wedding earlier in the day.   Still, it was nice.  To my knowledge, this was the first TLM celebrated in Piper City since before VII.

Here's a picture:
