Hello, all.

**I'm not trying to sell you anything!!!**

I came accross this just now.  I've always had trouble with rosaries.  I would buy chain rosaries, but they constantly broke and got horribly tangled in my pocket.  I love the idea of cord rosaries, but they are mostly made for Children at my local Catholic book store.  The only rosary that's never failed me is a wooden chain rosary, but it was my great grandfather's, and I don't feel right slipping it in my pocked to take on the bus or whatever.

This site allows you to design your own rosary, and buy it as a kit or a pre-made rosary.  I thought it was pretty nifty.

I use to make rosaries, but other folk were better at them than myself so I quit. Having said that the Rosary Shop is great. I order stuff over the web and had a prompt and hassle free shipment to Australia, which seems to a dearth of these items, the "findings"....crucifix, medals etc.

http://www.rosarymakersguide.org/rosarymakerskits.htm is a great site for all your rosary making needs. Through this site I learned how to make rosaries out of twine that are very durable. If twine knot rosaries aren't your thing then there are many other types of rosaries on the site along with instructions for how to make them and links to places where you can buy supplies.

Walk before God in simplicity, and not in subtleties of the mind. Simplicity brings faith; but subtle and intricate speculations bring conceit; and conceit brings withdrawal from God. -Saint Isaac of Syria, Directions on Spiritual Training

"It is impossible in human terms to exaggerate the importance of being in a church or chapel before the Blessed Sacrament as often and for as long as our duties and state of life allow. I very seldom repeat what I say. Let me repeat this sentence. It is impossible in human language to exaggerate the importance of being in a chapel or church before the Blessed Sacrament as often and for as long as our duties and state of life allow. That sentence is the talisman of the highest sanctity. "Father John Hardon

I like to make rosaries, but I only know how to make them with the chain.
