Now that FE is back up and running again, I can post the list for the duets - but if people still have the option to sign up for a while, maybe I should postpone the posting of that list??  And save it for another thread in this sub-sub-forum?
I still have no Idea how your gonna pull off a duet. The practical and technological problems for the average person are going to be near insurmountable. I looked into it and the closest I came is that I found a Karaoke with male and female parts....then one party sing their part and forwards the video..then the next partner sings along to that making a new video....... very COMPLICATED!

Go ahead and let people know.  You might want to use PMs, too.

And voxx, what you described is one way.  Using something like Skype or G+ (video chat) might work, too.  There's also Audacity + Lame plug-in for sending sound files.  Also, don't forget that I'm using duet loosely.  Yes, it can mean a song meant for an actual duet, but you could also do melody/harmony, just sing half of a song each, or find some other creative way to do it (like have one person do sound effects).

I'm putting out a last call for those who have not yet submitted karaoke tracks for round eight (pick something for a random person to sing so long as it's 3:00 or under).   Please do so as soon as you can!

So, the prize for winning this competition is an official...

                                                 ...Hook, Line, and Singer mug!

Jester, being the coordinator of the contest, is not able to win the prize should he, by extraordinary luck, happen to come out on top.
In such a case, second place (which officially will be first in such a situation) will receive the award.

Starting?  What do you mean?  The contest already started.  Round two submissions are due by the end of Friday (12 AM PST).

In regard the FE prize, Vox was going to give a gold membership to the winner, too, although that may or may not be a prize depending whether or not the person already has a gold fish.

Oh, don't fret. I'll be OK with a signed copy of Vox's book.

"Nothing is more miserable than those people who never failed to attack their own salvation. When there was need to observe the Law, they trampled it under foot. Now that the Law has ceased to bind, they obstinately strive to observe it. What could be more pitiable that those who provoke God not only by transgressing the Law but also by keeping it? But at any rate the Jews say that they, too, adore God. God forbid that I say that. No Jew adores God! Who say so? The Son of God say so. For he said: "If you were to know my Father, you would also know me. But you neither know me nor do you know my Father". Could I produce a witness more trustworthy than the Son of God?"  St. John Chrysostom Sunday Homily
