I'm physically incapable of growing a beard, but I support you in this endeavor.
I am sad about this. Perhaps there's something you can do? We're both part Asian. Thus, the beard thing does not come easy to us. I've seen movies where asians have lots of beards. |

I've seen movies where asians have lots of beards.
LOL. Some can grow beards, some can't. If I went without shaving for two years, I might have a goatee. But it would look thin and patchy, so I don't bother. My philosophy with facial hair is to either go all the way to the point where you can braid it like a Viking, or not do it at all. |

LOL. Some can grow beards, some can't. If I went without shaving for two years, I might have a goatee. But it would look thin and patchy, so I don't bother. Even if you have little to no facial hair, I'd suggest shaving every day for a while to see if you notice any difference in the patterns of growth. Who knows? |

About every two days. When I was in basic training for the Army, I was required to shave every day, even if there was nothing to shave. |

Well I was talking to my mom, and she told me her grandfather was so dark-skinned he'd be mistaken as a black man. And then she dug up some old family photos, and sure enough, they look so Indian if they had "buckskin and feathers" you'd think they were Indian. Now it's just a matter of finding what tribe, which could be hard if they changed their name, but hey, a good challenge makes the reward sweeter.

I can grow a goatee, but no full beard. I can also get away without shaving for quite awhile before I start looking like a bum. Native American (south of the border) blood probably helps.  |

I shave once a month, and that's only to get rid of a little stubble. I suspect I have American Indian blood in me. I have my family's geneology, and two men from my family line married women from Eagle River Wisconsin, and there's a reservation not far from there. But I would have to find the records for them, which could be difficult. I also have an uncle who looks pure blood Indian, almost like Jim Thorpe:  But I don't know if this is just how Bohemians look, but a friend of mine who has read up on this told me that many Bohemians in WI are actually descended from Indians who took Bohemian names. Now I know also that the Indians in WI were put on reservations quite late compared to elsewhere in America, roughly around the time the Bohemians started coming here in mass, so its possible they took false names to blend in. After all, many lighter blacks did the same thing; why not Indians? And I do find it rather coincidental that many people with Bohemian names do look alot like Indians. I also have very thick curly hair (my brother was able to grow an afro). Again, like Jim Thorpe; and THorpe was Sacu and Fox, both tribes that live in Wisconsin. That's interesting. I had never heard that Wisconsin natives had pretended to be Bohemians before. From what I have seen, beard growth is not something Slavic men have a problem with at all, Czechs and Slovaks included, so I think you might be on track with the Indian genealogy. |
