http://www.who-sucks.com/people/dining-with-hitler-in-asia-hitler-themed-bars-restaurants

You'd never see one of these in the West. Hitler's the very personification of evil!

Never mind that Bolsheviks killed two or three times as many people as Hitler. The victims were mostly Christian, after all, and the perpetrators disproportionately Jewish. Besides, it's not as if the Christians were killed just for being Christian.

I liked the response posted by "Gem Spa" at the end of the blog:

Hypocritres, Right here in NYC is a trendy co-op named “Red Square” with a statue of Lenin on the roof. He and his friends burned and looted more churches than Hitler did synagogues.

We also have “the Red Bar”,very popular and abounding in Stalinist ( Stalin? Who was he? ) iconography. Not to mention the thousands of hipsters walking around with Mao ( killer of millions ) badges on.

This has gotten so silly that if you try to have a serious historical conversation in public and mention the name “Hitler” you can hear a pin drop.
When the left finally admite to their own crimes I’ll take their whining about silly bars with WW2 German themes seriously. Grow up.

Clips from the blog:

But owner Puneet Sablok has refused to back down. Apart from Mumbai’s 4,500 Jews, there has been little controversy in India, where Holocaust awareness is limited, Adolf Hitler is regarded as just another historical figure and swastikas are an ancient Hindu symbol, displayed all over to bring luck. There are just 5,500 Jews in all of India.

I wanted to design a beer bar with something shocking that would attract the young generation. Beer got me thinking about Germany (the home of beer) which made me think of Hitler.
[...]
….he is no different than Alexander the Great or Gengis Khan. They were all conquerors who killed many people and they are all ‘big men’ in the sense of their notoriety living on long after they died.

Asians have a more balanced view of Hitler because he wasn't directly involved in the Pacific War.

That being said, I doubt there are nightclubs named after the Showa Emperor (Hirohito) or Tojo Hideki anywhere.

Hitler's opinions on Asians include both positive and negative. He praised the Japenese for keeping its racial character and said that the Jews in the West want to crush Japan to put the country under Jewish finance and destroy the Japenese race. However Hitler preferred the British Empire to "the Yellow Peril" in his own words.

Any bars in Hiroshima or Nagasaki named after the great liberator Truman? How about Dresden? Any bars named after the heroic fire-bombers Churchill and FDR?

I'm thinking not. The Germans and Japanese are an ingrate people.

Ah yes they dare not name any locations after the great heroes of World War II. All of those 'great men' I must say made decisions which have lead us to our modern decadent world. What a bunch of idiots.

Are you asking about in Asia, or in the West? There are certainly places named after Genghis Khan in the U.S. because to us, he was just a guy with a cool fumanchu and a legion of horses.

Any bars named after Taisho? Or Meiji?

Taisho was infamous in Japan for being dumb, but Meiji is hailed by most Japanese as the founder of modern Japan, so no doubt there are plenty of places named after him in Japan and even elsewhere.
