If you order the MD from Farnsborough Abbey, give it some time.  The book has to clear customs and can take a few weeks.

I got antsy and ordered another MD from another seller.....then I got two MDs.

If you are interested, I'll sell you my spare (unopened).  PM me if interested.

Already ordered my MD.  It should have it tomorrow (or today since it's 2am!).

At Lauds you'll find every day starts with Psalm 66 before the rest. The psalm is aking God to convert the gentiles. Something which seems to have been lost. They used to say the hidden monks were at the heart of the Church. These monks were the prayers which brought converts. I find that amazing. The second Psalm is 50 everyday, it reminds us how sinful we really are everyday. The psalms end with the 148,149,and 150, after the OT Canticle. I think this Office according to St. Benedict's rule is the best of all.

For those that don't already know about it, I'd recommend this site:

http://saintsshallarise.blogspot.co.uk/

It's an excellent guide to praying the Monastic Diurnal, especially useful for those that are new to it (such as City Smurf)

There is also a discussion board (may require registration):
TradBen@yahoogroups.com

She posts a weekly Ordo, and the group is very helpful to anyone with questions regarding the MD.
