So, here I am alone with my thoughts, having this feeling of desire to be in the presence of exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. I have not been able to shake this feeling or longing or ennui since I last attended exposition a few weeks ago.  So I call the Cathedral, which usually had adoration after the noon Mass, but the practice is suspended due to construction.  So I decide to pray Sext instead (I usually dont praythe day hours), fire up Brev Meum, and get this as the very first line of the very first psalm:

Psalm 83(1-8) [1]
83:1 How lovely are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts! * my soul longeth and fainteth for the courts of the Lord.

After I pick my jaw up off the floor, I ponder how the threads of time have been so masterfully woven together.  My God is a great God!

Ain't no such thing as coincidence... I used to call coincidences like that God's sense of humor. This particular instance isn't exactly "LOL" funny, but I can certainly see a a divine smile there as He planned that little moment for you. Smile That's beautiful. Thanks for sharing your story.

Yes, Friday Sext, I know it well.  One of my absolute favorite offices.

I've been told God indeed has a sense of humor, that He loves irony. If you look around it's obvious. He has done it to me for sure.

Who best knows time is most grieved by delay.

Actually Allan, it was just a coincidence.  We humans are just animals wondering around with no purpose other than to copulate and continue the chain of evolution.  I hope I made you're day better Smile
