"THE LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 26:1)
"And we, too, being called by His will in Christ Jesus, are not justified by ourselves, nor by our own wisdom, or understanding, or godliness, or works which we have wrought in holiness of heart; but by that faith through which, from the beginning, Almighty God has justified all men; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." — Clement, bishop of Rome
"I love truth," says he, "and not sects. I am sometimes a peripatetic, a stoic, or an academician, and often none of them; but—always a Christian. To philosophise is to love wisdom; and the true wisdom is Jesus Christ. Let us read the historians, the poets, and the philosophers; but let us have in our hearts the gospel of Jesus Christ, in which alone is perfect wisdom and perfect happiness." — Petrarch

So far I've commented on the Inquisition and the Easter Bunny. I'm getting my feet wet again.

A little birdie told me you were looking for me. :-) Thanks! Around the middle of February I decided to take a break... for Lent, and because there were about five active threads at the time that were insulting to women, in my opinion. If some of you don't watch it you'll end up with a forum full of men only. Voices like lolanthe, satori, paloma, underdog, canadiancatholic, and others, were always good for breaking up the clouds. Those voices are silent now. And I think that's too bad.
But let's not end on a sour note.... Thanks for the Beatles!
They are still here...plotting....waiting.... to strike ! Anyhow, I've always wondered about your thoughts on Easter Bunnies. I'll find the thread and take a look Welcome back

I'm glad to see you, but it looks like you only count women's voices that take a particular point of view.

I'm glad to see you are back. The forums need a healthy dose of sanity.

"But Christianity preaches an obviously unattractive idea, such as original sin; but when we wait for its results, they are pathos and brotherhood, and a thunder of laughter and pity; for only with original sin we can at once pity the beggar and distrust the king." -- G. K. Chesterton (1874-1936)
