I've really been enjoying this game lately. It was difficult at first, not being used to Grand Strategy, but it's very fun.

Basicly you play as a medieval dynasty. The game begins true to history, but your actions (and the reactions of the other players), will lead to interesting alternate histories. Conquering lands, going on crusades, ...

The graphics are quite good too, with the map being 3D too.

Does anyone else play this game?

Yeah, I started a game as Saint-Louis IX. It is extremely complex.

Praying for the dead is important. PM me if you need a cantor for the Requiem Mass of a deceased friend or family member. Have cassock and surplice, will travel. (Will also do weddings for a reasonable price.)

I watched a video tutorial on Youtube, which explained a lot. I'm not a good player yet, but I can manage. Je maintiendrai.

When you start as a lower noble, marrying wisely is quite important. Selecting the best people for your council and upgrading your own fortresses and churches to increase levy sizes. I've even had some games where I haven't had to fight at all, only combating dissenters within.

This is a Paradox game, isn't it?  Are the specs similar to EUIII so I can play it on my not-so-great laptop?

These are the specs:
Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHz or AMD 3500+
    2 GB RAM
    2 GB available HDD space
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 or ATI Radeon X1900 video card

And EUIII
    512 MB System RAM
    1.9 GHz Processor
128 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card with Pixel Shader 2.0
    CD-ROM drive
1 GB free hard disk space

So, I don't think so. The ram and processor requirements are a lot higher. The graphic card minimums are the high end models of 2006, I think.

You can always try the demo.

Hold on there...

Are those the hardware requirements or the recommended hardware?

The GeForce 8800 is a higher end Video Card.

It doesn't say on the box, simply system requirements.

My own pc has 4 GB ram, Intel Core i7 (octo-core) at 2.9 Ghz and Ati Radeon HD 5700 Graphics card. It runs the game perfectly (max settings) without slowdown, except when I failed to assassinate someone, which listed all my vassals whose opinion of me decreased. I practically owned the whole map, so it slowed down temporarily.
