It looks like he has a lot to offer but I don't trust his judgement when it comes to the SSPX, from what little I've read of his on that subject on his site. I guess it's one of those cases of 'take the good, leave the rest'. What do you think?

I think he is an admirable warrior. The entire subject is too wide and deep for a human to get all the ducks lined up just so. I do as you say I take from him what fits into the little I know, and the rest I hold for further information.  The Adversary has preternatural intelligence and for him it's a breeze. Us humans on both sides of the divide have had our intelligence limited because of Original Sin. Yet, that doesn't stop some from thinking they can out fox the other side, what they don't realize it ain't Modernists or they the Traditonalists that they fight but the Adversary.  What's going on is beyond our ken.

That's extremely helpful Tim, as usual. Gratias!

I think you have to take the good with the bad, according to your view. I realize it could be a sensitive issue for many here, but to throw out his research among everything he does is foolish and myopic. And that's just what some would hope for.

As far as what he has said about the SSPX, that I have read I tend to agree with. Not that I have read that much. Tradition at the End of Its Tether is a brilliant article and is available for free.

He is on the side of the Society reconciling. And over all his view is that they tend to be a bit on the stubborn side. Seriously, if you can't take that constructive criticism, whether he is right or wrong, you might want to consider not leaving your house.

I think he was wrong about the Arab Spring. He saw, while it was first happening, a sign that US Power was declining after many long years of Neo-Con policy. I see it as being fomented and encouraged by the US and Israel. Replace the dictators we have set up, take back as much of their loot and keep things unstable. Although, to be fair, I think he wrote that one prior to the Libyan Invasion.

To deprive yourself of this man's ability to really dig things out and his uncanny ability to connect the dots would be a tragedy.

Having said that, this SSPX thing is becoming a complete fiasco. One poster I used to have way too much respect for is now posting images at Ingnis Ardens that apply to witchcraft, and talks about reconciliation with Rome as some kind of new martyrdom. I would not doubt if this person was working for a sede cause. As Tim says, the devil works both sides of the street.

Mike Jones will give you his honest opinion, and what you see is what you get. He is a straight shooter.

Bishop Williamson likes him and Jones likes +Williamson and has much empathty for him. And +Williamson repects Jones and his magazine and books even though the see things differently in the SSPX and Vatican relationship.

Take the good, leave the bad. No one will agree with another on everything, but that's what makes life interesting, eh?

Ignis Arden, witchcraft, and martyrdom ! That proves it for me this is the same as the beginning of the hippie movement. I'd watch that guy he could become the next Abbie Hoffman. Incredible !

His book on what is the true theological position of the Catholic Church and the Jewish people since the Incarnation should be must reading for every Catholic and in every Catholic educational institution. The reason it's not is because the TRUTH hurts!  A great book!!
