When I played drums I was always trying to find melodys in the tones of my drums...I used to do a cool version of "AMERICA" from west side story during a drum solo in my band. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPlcE3GcoFc" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPlcE3GcoFc</a>Thats why I loved that Akira guy above....I love when melodys come into the play...so your right about buddy rich...technically brilliant but dry...but they were of a different philosophy.

Lol. One of the first double-pedal pieces I learned when I dabbled in drums many moons ago was a Slayer piece... maybe something off of Divine Intervention... I dunno, I kicked all of that crap music to the kerb a long time ago and it all blurs into one now.

But I wouldn't call him an average drummer.

Mind you, I'm from the working class, eh, Pox..?

Whatami....warren buffet?
I played drums 7years in a hard rock garage band .....I could stack up to keith moon...but he was more of a stylist then a great technical player......
