Does anyone know where I can buy a modest skirt with pleads, made from a thick fabric so I can wear it in the winter? I used to order them from a Christian girl who used to make modest skirts for family and friends as a hobby.
I wish I would know a person who knows how to sew those old fashion skirts. Any ideas?

There are many stores via Google search under the terms "modest skirts" .. Many are Protestant, some are Mormon and others are Catholic.  Also, check out Ebay and Etsy .. and put in the search terms there.  Sometimes you can find vintage wool skirts, skirts with pleats, long skirts, etc.  Good luck!

Thrift stores.

I'm serious, I've found all of my best skirts in thrift stores, including a fair amount of long skirts with thick material that are perfect in winter and for hiking.

I love thrift shops - you can find just about anything.

Definitely second-hand stores -- the only place I can find decent skirts.

You can also try Muslim and Mormon retailers. One example is: http://www.shukronline.com

Unless it absorbs the gift of the Spirit through faith, the mind has the ability to know God, but lacks the light necessary for that knowledge. This unique gift which is in Christ is offered in its fullness to everyone. It is everywhere available, but it is given to each man in proportion to his readiness to receive it. Its presence is fuller, the greater a man's desire to be worthy of it. This gift will remain with us until the end of the world, and will be our comfort in the time of waiting.

Wow, that site has some lovely skirts! I wish there were some Catholic retailers with similar things!
