I thought I'd give the Fishies a heads up on this set.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Breviarium-Romanum-4-Volumes-in-Original-Box-Liturgy-Divine-Office-Breviary-/271003920698?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f1917a93a

Looks all Latin, but that shouldn't matter to most of you.    Sticking tongue out at you

Good luck.

It cleared 500 bucks!

If you ever want to make another bet sometime- can I bet on your bet?  LOL
Just kidding.
ebay is very unpredictable. I've seen books and other items bring way more than they usually do and then other times see items go for a few bucks when they brought hundreds just a week prior.
I picked up a the 1964 Benziger English totum of the Roman Breviary a few years ago for $50, brand new in the box. Months prior to that I saw them go for $400 to $500.

Look at this gem I found on ebay's French site:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/251087539454?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

....a steal at 150 yur-o's

 Sticking tongue out at you

BTW, if you want to find really great Breviaries (or other great vintage liturgical or religious books) at good prices, go to ebay's country-specific sites like ebay.fr, ebay.de, ebay.be, ebay.it  (France, Germany, Belgium, Italy)
ebayglobal.com is good but they only show listings for sellers who have specified shipping to the U.S. in their auctions.

I've found that if you ask- most sellers in other countries will agree to ship to the U.S. even if they do not say so in the auction description. You might have to pay a little more but they will usually do it.

Search example from ebay Germany:

http://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=breviarium+romanum&_sacat=See-All-Categories

Another example:

http://shop.ebay.fr/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=missale+romanum&_sacat=See-All-Categories&LH_TitleDesc=0

I too have encountered such price vacillation. Perhaps this given set went so high due to the redemptorist propers. I have perused various eBay international site but have only ever purchased one item, that being a volume of the liturgia horarum to complete my set.

Looks to be back on the auction block. Sounds like the original buyer has fallen on hard times.
