Those that affect you directly certainly matter, mate. Don't get me wrong. I'm speaking more to those who get themselves all twisted into a fret over things they simply cannot control or change, which do not entirely hold too much (if any) bearing on their lives in the long run. Lizardmen and such...

Thank you for the clarification.

I'm not trying to look too far, I know how dangerous it is. There's just so much questionable crap, so it's good to get an opinion because I won't sit through all of it LOL . I certainly don't know anyone who believes in lizardmen, perhaps some other bizarre things, but nothing that weird.

All I know is, the stuff that's really legit is usually the stuff it pays not to blab about in public lol. Or on the internet...

All that we are is a picture in a mirror, with fancy shoes to grace our feet. All that there is, is a slow road to freedom; Heaven above and the devil beneath. We're all in this thing together, walking a line between faith and fear, this life won't last forever - when you cry I taste the salt in your tears.

My brother got me a David Icke book once as sort of a gag gift about two years ago and I had to put it down after about the first half or so. It was the sickest most insane stuff I had ever read. Just reading that guy made me feel slightly crazy for a few minutes afterweards. I agree that the lizardmen thing is weird. He also says stuff about how the Clintons and the Bush's engage in pedophila and child and animal sacrifices complete with nasty details about some of these so called rituals. From my own quick dip into David Ickes twisted psyche I would say steer very clear. As for the Satanism in the Vatican I don't doubt it but I don't think the whole Church is a front for the Illuminati or for some sort of Theistic Satanist cult. I'm sure there are bishops and priests involved in some sort of Satanism though including sexual perversions, black masses and perhaps even child sacrifices but certainly not the lot of them.

Walk before God in simplicity, and not in subtleties of the mind. Simplicity brings faith; but subtle and intricate speculations bring conceit; and conceit brings withdrawal from God. -Saint Isaac of Syria, Directions on Spiritual Training

"It is impossible in human terms to exaggerate the importance of being in a church or chapel before the Blessed Sacrament as often and for as long as our duties and state of life allow. I very seldom repeat what I say. Let me repeat this sentence. It is impossible in human language to exaggerate the importance of being in a chapel or church before the Blessed Sacrament as often and for as long as our duties and state of life allow. That sentence is the talisman of the highest sanctity. "Father John Hardon

The common stuff about Illuminati (Icke, reptilians etc) maybe is a cover for making people abstain from reading more legit sources about the topic (for example, Catholic historians writings about Freemasons and their influence in media, politics, and their battle with Catholicism).

One good author, is Ricardo de la Cierva. He also researched the KGB infiltration of Catholic movements in Poland (PAX) and the infiltration of the Jesuits leading to Liberation Theology in the Hispanosphere.

he has work about the history of Gnosticism, and how it reappears from time to time under different cults.
