I hope both of them return to the true Faith.

We must pray for him.

Despite his faults, I am very glad that he has had the balls to bring his religion to the public and not back down. The moment he began to talk publicly about Scientology, he was villified by all, not because of his religion, but because he dared to speak openly about it, and religion is such a taboo subject that they isolated him. I wish Mel Gobson had not gone off the deep end. He could have been at the head of quite the movement in Hollywood.

What are you afraid of?

"Nothing is more miserable than those people who never failed to attack their own salvation. When there was need to observe the Law, they trampled it under foot. Now that the Law has ceased to bind, they obstinately strive to observe it. What could be more pitiable that those who provoke God not only by transgressing the Law but also by keeping it? But at any rate the Jews say that they, too, adore God. God forbid that I say that. No Jew adores God! Who say so? The Son of God say so. For he said: "If you were to know my Father, you would also know me. But you neither know me nor do you know my Father". Could I produce a witness more trustworthy than the Son of God?"  St. John Chrysostom Sunday Homily

Both Catholics, as was the case with his second marriage. Nicole Kidman came back to the Church, so hopefully Katie Holmes will. And who knows, maybe Tom Cruise will understand what a train wreck his life has been, and come back to the Faith of Christ.

One article said that she enrolled Suri in a Catholic pre-school, so that's something.

Okay, question. How many here on FE truly will pray for him? Not just once in a while but on a daily basis?

Heaven is a REWARD, not a RIGHT.

Every truly pagan society has, at it's core, some form of human sacrifice. In today's world, it's abortion.

My intuition is telling me then that few here will pray for him daily or not at all.

How about we all say a decade on a day of one's choosing, having read this, for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes to return to the faith; using the power of their celebrity, will, having returned to the faith, publicly defend and embrace the Catholic Church, and combat the evil they themselves have profited from, so that Christ profits and His Sacrifice is made manifest even more glorious to the world.

Seems easy enough?

Um why should I feel guilty for not finding time to pray daily for mr cruise? GMAB- there are so many sick, unemployed suffering good souls out there....he sold his soul for a mess of pottage...he is a spoiled and reprobate. He gets "Jesus Mary and Joseph...save sinners" every time his name comes up in my general view or hearing and that is being generous. Otherwise again GMAB
