St. Jude is the patron of desperate cases. I put him in charge of the last nine days of my 7th pregnancy. That baby was huge. I couldn't drive for a whole month because I couldn't fit behind a steering wheel. I was absolutely miserable. Started a novena 8 days before his due date. Day 8 I was at the doctor and he said, see you in a week. Day 9 of the novena and I saw a tiny hint of mucous plug and we had the weirdest weather that day, straight out of St. Jude's epistle. I took that as my sign and went and bought a 4 ounce bottle of castor oil. There a tons more details, but suffice it to say that Andrew Jude Thaddeus was born that day weighing 10 pounds and 2 ounces, or something like that. And he was only one day late! LOL! Most of my kids were at least two weeks late!

I would start a novena 9 days before the due date, but the due date was LAST Wednesday and I can't bear to think it might be nine MORE days until he is born.  We did do a nine hour novena a few days ago, but I guess it wasn't God's will.  I have lost the plug twice now and I tried castor oil with two others and it didn't work.  I have stubborn babies (who often keep that trait).  Two were 10 pounds ... induced before the due dates.  Most of the children have had Marian feast days as birthdays and my husband is convinced that the baby is waiting to be born on Wednesday, the Feast of Our Lady's Presentation in the Temple.  I hope he is right, because I could do four more days.  I am just afraid that since we promised St. Andrew that the baby would be named after him that he is waiting until the 30th!  *shudder*

It looks like I ate a WHOLE watermelon!  I'm not sure I could find a watermelon around here right now.    We are starting the nine hour novena to the Infant of Prague today with some other families from church today for the baby to be born tomorrow.  God's will be done, but I hope he sends me some patience!  I walked around in false labor all day Sunday.   ARRGH!

My last one kept doing that for about two weeks: starting and stopping with labor.  When he finally came, though, it was fast! Smile  Prayers!

Thank you for your prayers.  I am hoping all the false alarms are doing some work so that the real thing will go easier.  The baby has shifted into quite an uncomfy position which has made walking difficult and quite funny to watch according to my family.
