As far as I'm concerned, Miracle Whip is one of the 4 basic food groups.

I have never done a taste test, but I understand that there are strong feelings about this topic, which leads me to these topics:

Fried Green Tomatoes:flour or cornmeal or both?

Cornbread: Yankee or Rebel?

Grits: nay or yay, and if yay, how?

Watermelon: plain, salted, or plugged?

Ham: Salted or sugar-cured?

Salad: before the meal, between courses, or after?

Hostess or Little Debbie?

Coke or Pepsi? And are they "sodas" or "pops"?

Hot dogs: Chicago, Coney Island, plain with mustard and/or ketchup and onion, or on a stick wrapped in cornmeal?

Pizza: thick, thin, or Chicago-style?

Those large, sweet, green peppers: green peppers," "bell peppers," or "mangoes"?

I can't stand miracle whip. I bet it was invented by a freemason. After all it comes from Kraft.

Oh!  Good one. LOL

Too bad.  'Miracle Whip' is such a cool name.

Fried green tomatoes: n/a

Cornbread: I'm not familiar with the distinction

Grits: yea. mmm.... butter, salt, and pepper.

Watermelon: Plain, preferably seedless.

Ham: Blech! But if we have to have it, then sugar cured, most definitely.

Salad: Before the meal, with bleu cheese dressing

Hostess or Little Debbie: Both, if I eat them at all. I make no distinction.

Coke or Pepsi: COCA-COLA!!! And it ought to be "Pop!" Though here in MO, I notice people call it Soda.

Hot-dogs: Blech! Polish sausage is far better. If I have to eat hot-dog, it's plain with mustard.

Pizza: any way is fine.

Peppers: I've heard them called both green and bell peppers. I'm inclined to favor "green."

Thank you, God! I'm not the only one who hates Miracle Whip. LOL @ all the MW/Mason jokes. Whenever someone serves me pie with Miracle Whip on it, I usually get it off with a fork before proceeding to indulge.

Fried Green Tomatoes:flour or cornmeal or both? I have no idea. I just read the book.

Cornbread: Yankee or Rebel? No idea.

Grits: nay or yay, and if yay, how? That sounds like oatmeal. I don't know if I've tried them, how to make them, or even what's in grits. Aren't grits something cowboys ate?

Watermelon: plain, salted, or plugged? Plain, of course! Salted watermelon sounds nasty.

Ham: Salted or sugar-cured? sugar-cured

Salad: before the meal, between courses, or after? depends on what the meal is...and if I'm pregnant or not...it's usually the whole meal

Hostess or Little Debbie? yuck to both

Coke or Pepsi? And are they "sodas" or "pops"? pops...Pepsi

Hot dogs: Chicago, Coney Island, plain with mustard and/or ketchup and onion, or on a stick wrapped in cornmeal? plain, or with ketchup, or with Dorothy Lynch (the salad dressing)

Pizza: thick, thin, or Chicago-style? I'm not sure I've tried Chicago style...probably thick

Those large, sweet, green peppers: green peppers," "bell peppers," or "mangoes"? whatever the Mexican restaurant I'm at wants to call them; I like "green peppers" best

Uh .... Corinne ... Miracle Whip is a salad dressing - kinda like mayo but tangy.

I think you're thinking of Cool Whip - which is a non-dairy whipped cream like topping.
