Blessed art thou amongst women, Introibo! Pray for us now and in the hours we wish we were dead because of the existence of football!

 

Ask Our Lord to grant us peace as we withstand the glazed eyes, the beer commercials, the other commercials with the pounding soundtracks, the screaming announcers, that hideous whistle, the "15-minute" quarters that last hours, the cheerleaders, the post-game interviews with sweating men who say the same things over and over ("we played hard; we just fell short," etc.), the fact that there's a game on alllllll the time, even on the Lord's Day and Thanksgiving and any other day designed for families.

 

May all men everywhere imitate the divine example of Mr. Introibo, peace be upon him, so that women may rejoice and be glad!
