Has the the famous doctrine Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Sallus now become impossible to contradict in light of the novel ecclesiology of John Paul II?  If it is true that any truth that a man holds unites him to the mystical body of Christ and that unqualified ignorance is the negative source of unity, what are we left with?

What do you mean by "unqualified ignorance" as the negative source of unity?

I would dispute that, Sam.

Most of the NOers I've encounered, even the pious, devout, more "neoconservative" types, vehemently reject the traditional Catholic view of EENS. They tend to think "any port in a storm," that it is "uncharitable" to say that they are not saved by their false religions, schism, and heresy, and to say that "we shouldn't mess with other religions, at least they still believe in a higher power, and aren't atheist."

No distinction is made anymore between crass, supine, affected, etc.

Ok Matthew, I guess I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed tonight.

Honestly, I have no idea what you mean, what concept you are trying to convey, what you are trying to ask, etc. Can you clarify what you mean in a little more "layman's language?" I'm sorry, but I really have no clue whatsoever what that whole post meant.

the only problem that i have with the novus ordo is that they all think  that its really easy for people to be incullpably ignorant. they think  that almost all material heretics are invincibly ignorant. this is a  bit off topic but   for some reason they don't like to call  material heretics heretics.

Ha! They don't even like to call sin sin! It twas a mistake, God  forgives you, you're only human, blah blah blah. The only time hell is  mentioned is when someone is giving you specific directions.
