Franciscan and carmelite Third orders are very traditional. Both ask for the tertiary to recite the little office of the BVM. You may even recite the Breviary in the franciscan Third order.  No TV (of course), daily mass, frequent confession and as many acts of penance as is prudently judged by the confessor.

 

Traditional and time-tested and Church-approved.
