I don't know the reason for this but I hate cars. I loathe cars and think that they are evil.

Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true.– Buddha

Note: According to this precept, I find that Buddhism is NOT true.  I have tested and judged many things, and the only Truth I have found is in God's One True Church: The Catholic Church.

Dear Lord, I know I can live by Your Holy Will every moment of my life, because You have given me faith that Your Grace will enable me to.

I do not like them very much, either, although they are not evil.

The speeds at which they can travel, and the spread out way which they "help" us lead our lives, contributes to the largely unnatural day-to-day existence of many of us (there are countless other factors, as well).

In a variety of ways cars tend to thwart communion among individuals, and to encourage our selfish impulses. Of course, we can use what the world produces. But I agree that tendency is there.

I totaled by Blazer at 15-20mph spinning-out in a snowstorm last week because of this ridiculous crumple-technology. So I have other reasons to hate cars.... I know what you folks are trying to say though. Now autos have also good reason. How else was I able to go to an Adoration chapel on my way to/from college? How else would I get the Ridgefield for the TLM? How about Saturday Confession? Things are not bad, people do not have this distinction... Yes, there is the anti-social tendency with cars. No one would ever go nuts on you if you passed them on the sidewalk.

I promise not to put anything here which might help us question our mind-forged manacles, inspire us, or help us in any way at all.

N.B.: I will not be posting on this site again until the Christmas octave. Have a good Advent.

I also hate cars.  They are loud and they stink.  If car's where people no one would want anything to do with them.

I love cars, especially really useless ones that only seat two people and get 11 MPG.
And the smell? oh what can I say, nothing like the aroma of
uncombusted gasoline particulates.

I also have a rather ambivalent attitude toward automobiles. Now motorcycles on the other hand...

I like cars alot. especially big old ones that make you feel like a man  or small fast  new ones that make your feel like a little boy  playing with hotwheels.

Crumple tech does ruin alot of cars, thats why you need to stick with  pre-90s cars made out of solid steel. I had an 88 jeep wagoneer which i  spun into a big hill in a rainstorm at 45mph and there was just a few  dents in the steel bumper:)

Ive been thinking more and more thought about selling my current car and just getting a sport bike that gets 50 mpg.

I agree that "in a perfect world" we would not have them, or have need of them. However, I think that in these times, God has blessed Trads with them, so that we are able to get to Mass. If I didn't have a car that enabled me to drive 100 miles to the TLM, I'd not be Catholic, much less assisting at Mass every Sunday.
