Solar Eclipse

I saw my first
total solar eclipse in 2017, and never want to miss another. I don't
want you
to miss one either!
This year, folks in the United States will have quite a show: on April
8, 2024, there will be a total solar eclipse that will appear in a band
that crosses the country diagonally, in a path that includes Durango,
Mexico;
Dallas, Texas; Little Rock, Arkansas;
Indianapolis, Indiana; Cleveland, Ohio; Erie, Pennsylvania; Buffalo,
New York; Montpelier, Vermont; and Montreal, Canada.
In Indianapolis, the times to know are:
Begins: 1:50 pm Totality Starts: 3:05
pm. Totality will last for 3 minutes and 51 seconds Ends: 4:23 pm Duration: 2 hours, 33
minutes
Look up the proper times for your viewing in the part of the totality
zone closest to
you, a place you can find using this 2024 Total
Solar Eclipse Map.
Get
your Solar Eclipse Glasses as early as possible! They can get a lot
more expensive the closer it gets to the big day.
Make an event of it! Invite friends and family, make a picnic, mix some
cocktails, have the
first part of Psalm 148 printed out so everyone can read it aloud
together, put together an eclipse playlist (I advise turning it off
during totality), and prepare to experience awe at God's beautiful,
mathematical creation.
